Peanut Butter Icing( excellent on chocolate cake!!)

Thread Starter 
1/4 cup margarine OR butter
1/4 cup SMOOTH peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups icing sugar
3 tbsp. milk

mix all together. beat until smooth( by hand or beater)

makes 1 1/3 cups of delicious icing.

color me confused....what is icing sugar? Is it confectioners? That's what I've always used in frosting recipes

I had to Google that one too, wasn't sure. Basically looks like it is the same as powdered sugar or confectioners sugar.

It is confectioners sugar.

I have this same recipe in a cookbook, and it calls for 2 cups of confectioners sugar.

Love this icing!!! I've never followed a recipe, but to this day, that's the icing that mom or dh put on my birthday cake
