Do you refrigerate your grated parmesan cheese?

Like the Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese? I never had, but then DH pointed out that it says refrigerate after opening. I never noticed that. I didn't notice anything was wrong with it, but now I am wondering if I really should refrigerate it?

I only buy real cheese and grate it as I need it, as that Kraft stuff tastes like sawdust.

But, it is supposedly cheese, and it is supposed to be kept in the fridge.

I refrigerate mine even when it isn't opened.

I buy both fresh and Kraft powder (kids like to sprinkle on popcorn) and I am surprised you got away with not refrigerating it. Ours accidentally got put away in the cupboard and I noticed it a couple of days later it smelled rancid just nasty I pitched it right away!

In the 15 years that I have been buying it, I have never refrigerated it. Maybe I should and see if it makes a difference in taste!

Glad I am not the only one, well now that I know, I'll be refrigerating it.
