When did you realize Santa Claus wasn’t real?

I don't remember exactly, but I was pretty young, maybe 2nd grade.  Being the youngest, I don't think you believe as long as the older siblings do.  My sister and I found out the same year.  We shared a room and were up on Christmas Eve when our parents were bringing out all the gifts.  Then I went and told my best friend and ruined it for her!

I think I was in the 2nd grade.I found all the gifts from Santa a few days before Christmas.

Now I have two friends I ruined it for!  My friend to this day, reminds me every Christmas that I spoiled it for her.  I guess it was a lesson never learned!

I was really young, probably around 4.  My brother told me (or pointedly asked) my parents when he was in 1st or 2nd grade and they told him reluctantly in front of me.  But to be honest, I don't think I ever did really believe.

I lost my first tooth when I was 5 and I was at a friend's house. My friend gave me $1 for for losing my tooth and the next morning I told my mom the toothfairy gave me $2. My mom said the toothfairy only gives you $1 and that's when I figured out she was the toothfairy. Then I just figured out the rest from there.

I noticed Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy all had my older sisters' handwriting...

I can't remember when I stopped believing for real, but I was 7 years older than my sister, so I got to play along for a really long time when she was little.
