Has anyone tried a new store brand product recently?

I just discovered a new store brand product and saved $3!

 

We eat a lot of those Buitoni refrigerated ravioli.  They are in the deli case near the produce at my store, and there's no store brand.  However, I just happened to notice storebrand frozen ravioli while walking down the freezer aisle.  It was less than half as much!! I couldn't believe the savings - we've been eating this like every week.

 

Has anyone else tried a new store brand product recently?

Aldi had a 12 pack of their "soft" toilet paper for $4.99.  We always buy either Charmin or Cottonelle, but the prices have been so high.  So I just bought the Aldi brand and it is very comparable.  Happy to save a bit of money.

To be honest, there is not much I buy that isn't store brand.

This is actually very good to know! We use charmin basic and I was wondering about the ALDI brand b/c I've been shopping there so much. We'll have to give it a try.


I use mostly store brands...Mom and I went to Wal-Mart last night and she kept picking up name brand but even DS was pointing out the savings if you bought store brand instead. The only thing I willingly bought name brand of was instant hot chocolate b/c the swiss miss had 4 extra packets AND still cost less that store brand, and I made a production out of putting it in the cart "Look Mom, NAME BRAND!!" She cracked up, and so did the lady in the aisle with us who had been listening to our (fun) bantering about name brand and store brand biggrin.gif

I buy store brand most of the time, too, unless it's not available, like I thought with the ravioli.

I buy a lot of store brand. I cannot think of anything new off the top of my head that we have tried. But my brother was telling us he loves the Walmart Brand Fruity Pebbles, they are called Fruity Sparkles. LOL!

I try to buy store brand as much as possible, expect if there is a sale that makes a name brand cheaper.  When I do get there, and its rare- usually if I am going to visit someone who lives by one, at Wegmans I only buy their store brand.  I have found some things to be soooo much better than the name brand and a lot cheaper!

This is me as well.  I have a few favorites, like the Bertolli spaghetti sauce.  I don't Have to have it, but we like it...other things I just buy generic.
