What are some ways you've invested in yourself? - Page 3

Well, I spend money to take Hot Yoga classes, in addition to my gym membership, but I love it so much that I ended up going 3 times last week.  I feel great doing it.

I went back to school for my masters, which I just completed.  Even though I now need to get a job, I feel like I have many more skills and knowledge.  It certainly helps my confidence.

I also - and this was partially due to a class I took for school - started reading romance novels.  I used to somewhat scoff at them, but now I find them to be a total pleasure and a great way to unwind.  Also, it sure doesn't hurt relations with my husband!

When I saw this, I could not think of one thing that I have been doing for myself. Its just been give give give. Its probally why I am so exhasted, narky and have been picking up so much weight.

I need to sit down and figure out how I can get my life simpler and find some me time.

I take time to spend with friends, I enjoy volunteer work, and I am back in school pursuing my passion. I need to get back to exercising each day though.

Financially speaking - purchased books that will help me grow, spent money on doing something I enjoy that is also a skill.

Non-financially speaking - read books that will help me go, took time to create (not often enough though), and taking time to read and learn how to keep my home and family organized.

A long time ago I took a photography class and I loved it.  I have a dream to get a really good camera and start building my skills in that area.

I have invested in my education (of course I am still paying it off;0) which has helped me get the level of job I have and support my family. I have invested in my scrapbooking habit-I'm not sure I even want to know how much, but I enjoy preserving our photos and memories and love looking at them-so do my kids!  Something I would like to invest more in is massages, but not a lot of money for that.  I do feel so much better after a great massage!  I used part of my bonus to invest in a Nook color as i love to read.  Feel like I have several things I have invested in that bring me enjoyment.

Time investment-I want to invest more time in our church, currently volunteering w/ children's church.  I invest my time in several community initiatives-some are tied to my work-but I feel positive about these efforts.  Would like to invest more time in my health and in my kids-both would make me happy!

I pay for unlimited dance/aerobic classes every month.  I have for years, and I LOVE it.

DD bought me my own laptop a few years back, and I have been able to work from home because of it.

In the past year, I've invested in my photography hobby.  I got a couple new lenses for my camera and have done a lot of practicing.

I have been working out at the gym 3+ days per week.

Other than that, my time is limited. My oldest is refusing to go to her dad's at all, so unless she is at school, she is with me. We go to the gym together while youngest is at her dad's, so that is nice.

I started working out and doing a weight loss program that has helped me lose 13lbs so far
