bkante, I like the potty-training goal, too!

Here are just some thoughts:

-potty train baby D, and have M dry at night

-feel "settled"

-complete family history/negative scanning projects - get those boxes out of my life!

-be more interesting

My life at the end of 2012:

-at least 50% of our debt gone

-my daughter potty-trained

-my son well-established in kindergarten

-my husband employed doing something his is proud of and feeling like he is making a larger contribution to our family income

-would love to have a housekeeper!

-have had a very successful garage sale to help us declutter

-not think I have to buy so much to prevent re-cluttering

-ensure we have more family time

-be established in my new job to where i don't have to work 10-12 hour days

-be happier in my marriage

-be a better mom-more time spent w/ my kids doing simple things

-be more involved in our church

-more patience, less stress, more smiles;)

-reach my goal weight

In 5 years:

-no debt outside of a mortgage

-have sold our current, way-too-small house and either purchased a larger one or built one w/ some land

-have horses again

-spend more time on our hobbies and with family

-have a strong start on college funds for our kids

-have made a decision on whether to continue toward my CNM or DNP degree

-have a strong marriage with more open communication

-have taken at least one really cool family vacation

-more time/trips for just my husband and I

In 10 years:

-try to keep my kids out of trouble-my son w/ be in high school then!

-Not be working so much

-continue w/ no debt outside of a mortgage

-...whatever God has planned for us...

One year
- to continue in work on my marriage. We are so busy caring for others, it is difficult to focus attention on ourselves. On the other hand, we cannot continue helping others if we do not maintain our marriage.
- to focus more on my writing.
- go someplace warm for Christmas Break.
- finish off the rest of our debt.
- new car for me, paid in cash.
- complete transition to our whole foods diet.
- continued transition to heathly living habits.

Five Years
- figure out how to continue our business without it directly living with us. Our children will be too old.
- fully be able to support myself with my writing.
- continued work on my marriage and to continue to help our children grow.
- working with the boys. We really do help change lives.
- and we're going to Europe.

You ladies have some great goals for the year!! Even though I am not participating this year, it really did make me think about where I want to be in a year. I think all of you can accomplish these goals, Mommysavers is full of strong women who inspire me everyday!

Most of mine will be focused on reconnecting/rebuilding my marriage which seems to have suffered over the years.  We will basically be empty nesters in the fall when our youngest goes off to college, so it will either be sink or swim for us:

For 2012:

- Try to socialize with other couples at least once per month

- Find common activities to do with Dh at least two times per month (other than movies)

- Find an enjoyable Volunteer Position

- Take a fun class

- Explore Career Development Opportunities and Have a Plan for 2013

5 Years:

- Find a Job in which I can survive on my own income.

- Mortgage Paid Off

- Most of College Loans Paid off--if any have been taken out

10 Years:

- Go to Europe!
