Save those $5 Target gift cards you get from certain purchases

Try this for this year.....save those $5/$10 gift cards you get at Target for making certain purchases.

I have mine in a baggie in a coffee tin in my hiding place. Save them all year long and bring them out to help buy presents at the end of the year.

Or if you are like me and don't like to spend money on yourself get them out after you have enough (they never expire) and treat yourself. I bought a Nook Color last year and only paid $30 out of pocket.

That's a great idea!  A little secret cash, but not really.

Great idea!  You can't buy much with $5 or $10 gift card and saving them for something bigger is a lot more fun!

I did this last year and it paid for quite a bit of the ipad that I got for dh for christmas this year. I did feel bad going in with a huge stack of $5 gift cards (I also had some bigger ones I got from surveys too though), but the guys at Target told me they had a guy come in and buy a laptop and pay entirely in $5 gift cards. The best thing about buying the ipad is I got a $40 gift card with purchase so that started my collection for next christmas.

This is a great idea and better than the change jar we have.  biggrin.gif
