Great article ... though this woman isn't a novice gardener.

You can grow a lot!  My square foot garden has been in operation for three years now.  My strawberries took off last year, so next year I think I'm going to remove the sections and just turn it into a strawberry patch.

Kim, how the heck do you have time to garden? smile.gif

We grow tomatoes, spinich, lettuce, onions and cucumbers.  I wish we had a bigger spot but this is what fits in ours.

We had a raised bed garden at my 2 previous houses, similar to Kim's but probably 4-6 times as large.   It was easy to do and I raised quite a few veggies.   I should try doing that again.

I LOVE gardening and spending time outside in the summer.  This past year I started a rock garden and planted perennials too.  I would do more but we have a pretty small yard.  It's something I make time for.

I grew up with parents who had huge gardens.   What I did didn't really seem like gardening so much to me when comparing it to them.   It was really just a smallish area that required very little care after we built the the raised bed.   We made ours out of 6X6 timbers my DH says, so they were fairly big pieces of wood.    And now to REALLY blow you away......I even CANNED then too LOL

I need to get some tips. mine never makes it, each summer.  Or I need to get rid of the rabbits.

I want to do a garden so bad!  I had so many great ideas for a garden, but I (err DH) never did get around to getting mine going last year.  Maybe if I (DH) get going on it now I can have one ready by spring.  I'd bet I could find some ideas on Pinterest!  I think I'll get a search going for that now!

ETA: Here is a cool small garden I found...
