Let's talk disposable diapers

I have two in diapers and it gets expensive. I try not to spend more than 25 cents a diaper. I like Pampers and Huggies, but even with a coupon, I find that Target brand is cheaper. What's your favorite brand(s)?

Oh and here are my tips:

If a Pampers or Huggies coupon says you HAVE to buy the expensive type of their diaper, you usually don't. You can buy the cheapest kind and still use the coupon.

I don't like nighttime diapers b/c I find them too expensive so we buy store brand maxi pads and affix them to the back or front of the diaper (depends if child sleeps more on tummy or back) and we haven't had any leaks.

Oops! I put this in the wrong forum, sorry.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by not having to buy the expensive kind.

Pampers Swaddlers = expensive kind

Pampers Baby Dry = their cheapest

I am on my 4th baby & have just now discovered Walmarts PARENTS CHOICE!! What was I doing buying only pampers and Huggies for the past 7 years? These diapers are awesome & the big box of 96 costs me only $13.97!!!!! Please check them out!

My 2 are well out of diapers but when DS was born I had 2 in diapers so I understand where you're coming from! I had the best luck with Luvs and Target diapers. They were cheaper and I had no leak issues- even at night! And bonus at that time- Luvs had pictures of Blues Clues on them...that was my munchkins favorite biggrin.gif

My daughter prefers Target brand over most any other brand, including the big expensive ones.  I don't know if she has tried the Walmart ones...I'll have to ask her!  She does NOT like the Kroger ones as they tend to leak.  We have a bag we are finishing up for daytime use only right now.

I have used a ton of different diapers. I used pampers the longest. i did not like Huggies at all... they leaked with my kids. I LOVED walmart brand and used them the most with the last 2.

I use Luvs. Full price they are $.21 - much less than Huggies and Pampers - but you can still get coupons for Luvs. I like the Target Up&Up ok, but not the Parent's Choice.

We buy all of our diapers at Costco, we try to buy them when Costco has a coupon for diapers in their coupon book, so we go back and forth between the Kirkland (Costco) Brand and Huggies.  I find the Kirkland brand and Huggies are pretty comparable to each other.  When DD#1 was born she was so small she had to have newborn diapers (even those were big on her), and they start at Size 1 at Costco, so we had to get those at Target, at that time I preferred the Pampers Swaddlers.
