Beef roast

I have a beef roast here and I was looking for the best way to prepare it. Its been a long time since have had a beef one as we normally do pork. I remember the last time I put it in the CP and we never cared for it. I was wanting to put it in the oven this time and I honestly have no idea how to prepare it. Any suggestions will be helpful..TIA =)

I brown mine on both sides, just to give it a little color (but you don't have too)

Put in a big pan, put some potatoes, onion and carrots (all cut in half or quarters) and put about 1/4 cup of beef broth or water in the bottom and cook at 350 for about 2 or 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
