Can you freeze tortillas?

There is only one brand of tortillas we really like and they no longer sell them in our town.  We eat them a lot so I was thinking it would be great if I could throw some in the freezer.  How well does this work?

Flour ones? Yes, every month or so I buy a 60 pack (2 packs of 30) of local tortillas we like from Costco and put one of the packs in the freezer immediately.  They always thaw and taste just fine.

You can freeze corn tortillas also, but they crumble easier after they've been frozen and thawed.  They still work well for frying them, though.

Yes, the flour ones.  We buy the big 60 pks, but it only lasts us a couple of weeks!

I never have good luck when I freeze them. They always stick together and then tear.

I always feeze mine--especially when I open a pack and don't use it all.  I have never had a problem with it.

I freeze both flour and corn tortillas, just like my mom did when I was growing up.  Thawing them on the countertop, rather than in a microwave, works best for me.

Yep, we freeze ours all the time.

I've frozen tortillas often with no problems. In fact, when I worked at the deli, we kept all the tortillas, flour and corn, in the freezer until Taco Tuesday.

Maybe it would help by placing a piece of wax paper in between each one.

They come frozen at McDs. The trick is to let them thaw for a good 12-14 hours at room temp before using them. Then flex the package before you open it.
