Have you bought groceries online yet?

Have you tried buying groceries online yet?

I am a bit behind the times (since Amazon doesn't deliver to India!) but I just bought some Finish dishwashing tablets on a deal a couple days ago.  The hard thing about buying groceries online is that you really have to know what a good deal is.  Amazon's "list prices" can be inflated, and are usually more than you'd pay at the grocery store.  There are definitely some great Amazon grocery deals out there though!

What groceries have you bought online?

OMG!!! I think I got 6 boxes from Amazon last wk...so yes, I buy groceries (and got that same Finish deal as well as the Mr. Clean magic erasers, etc) online ROTF.gif

I don't buy the online things unless I'm sure they're cheaper and unless I can get the free shipping. Recently I've gotten instant oatmeal, peanut butter crackers for my kids at college, coffee-- two different types, frosted mini wheats, peanut butter, granola bars, etc

In the past I've bought TONS of noodle bowls for my kids, these health food breakfast cookies (for my DD) in about 6 different flavors, microwave popcorn, pop tarts, steel cut oats, 4# boxes of dried cherries, 4# boxes of dried cranberries, ragu, tons of soups both in cans and those cups you add hot water to, teddy grahams, slim jims, and more.

Just checked my amazon subscriptions page and found a bunch more I forgot about....artichoke hearts, several other types of cereal and granola bars, Basmati Rice Pilaf with Vegetables & Nuts, pita chips, tortilla chips, cinnamon raisin swirl PB, and more.

I even have things directly delivered to my kids at college. I recently sent my DS 6 jars of peanut butter (he LOVES PB) and a box of slim jims.

That's one of the awesome things about buying online! I'm looking forward to finding more grocery deals online now that I'm back.

Yes, I've found that I buy a lot more from amazon now with kids in college. It's so easy to click "order" to send them things they can eat in their dorm rooms late at night or if they missed a meal. Probably at least half the stuff I order is for them away at college.

we have a few times in the past, and its more costly and I think we will again since i have not been feeling too good

and we need food in this house and dh is in his busiest time at work so we are going to use the grocery delivery for a few weeks till either dh or I start being able to.. Still way cheaperthan eating out all the time.

I have yet to buy groceries online, I have seen some good deals on cereal, and think at some point I may have to try it.  Oh, I guess I used to buy groceries, kind of online, we have a grocery delivery service here and I used to use them, but it wasn't for deals it was more for convenience.

Yes, I buy groceries and paper products from amazon.  The only drawback are the boxes!  I do break them down and recycle them.

I purchased the hot cocoa k cups and cascade!

I buy A LOT of non-perishables from Amazon, but haven't ordered fresh produce online yet.  Most of the "big" services are in metro areas, not smaller towns.
