My kids drank it when they were littler. They are like me and like diet better. No biggie to me, it's not like they drink pop all the time.

Me either. They very rarely get soda of any kind, but if they do it is not diet. Neither DH nor I drink soda, either, so it isn't even something we have in the house.

Love it when I prove myself wrong. Lol. We ate at Panda Express tonight and they have a sugar free Sobe that my kids love. And yes, I got them that and then noticed the sugar free part and thought of this thread. Lol

I thought you made your kids drink water when you were out.

I agree with Phoenyx. Both my kids would drink Diet Coke when they were at their grandparents, but when they were at home or with me out, I wouldn't never let them have anything with nutrasweet or any artifical sweetener. I see no reason for giving a child something diet unless they maybe very overweight and then I don't see how DIET Soda is going to help them lose weight anyway. We are a water, juice household always have been. Occasionally soda is bought but not a lot.

This is how I feel. Soda is an occasional thing here as well. I just do not want that artificial stuff going into my kid. I actually like Sierra Mist Natural, it is what we buy when his stomach gets upset. We are moving away from sodas here and have been for awhile. Sodas should be a treat.

This happened yesterday! I told you! We went to the kids eat free at IKEA and I got one chocolate milk and one soda. The soda is free refills, and in the past they never have enough to drink with the chocolate milk. Anyway, the kids fought over the chocolate milk until the cup actually had soda in it.
And I didn't get diet
I had a no soda under the age of 5 rule (Milk or water with the occasional juice) now my daughter is almost 7 and doesnt want it. I'm sure at some point this will change and I will always push Diet over regular to her. The amount of sugar in a regular soda is ridiculous. Unfortunately many of the "fruit juices" that parents are perfectly happy to give there kids are just as bad.
