Any tips on a Florida vacation?

Thread Starter

After saving for a few years, we finally booked a trip to Florida. Yippeeeeeee!!!!

I read some awesome tips on Disney, which we are planning to use, but am looking for some tips on inexpensive things to do that are not a theme park.  We would like a couple of days that are more relaxing and not as expensive.  It sounds like we have some real Florida experts on mommysavers!

Thanks,

Cheryl

Are you looking to go off property?

If not, you could do the mini golf at Disney, the waterparks, or go stroll around the Boardwalk (evenings are best since there will be entertainment). You could spend a day at the pool at your resort. Go for a monorail ride. There is a ton to do over at Fort Wilderness including a free movie. They sell kits to make smores at the bonfire but you can bring your own stuff from home. You can visit the stables over there. you can rent bikes or boats there and ride through the trails. You can go for a horseback ride for a fee. Check out Allears.net, go to accomodations and click on the fact sheet for Fort Wilderness (on the left hand page) for a list of all there is to do.

Can you tell I am just a little obsessed with Disney?  ROTF.gif
