Successful Supperbowl!

We managed to get all 4 movies in yesterday, so supperbowl was successful at our house.

About 15 years ago we decided to start renting a bunch of movies & having a bunch of food & just stay on the sofa and eat and watch movies all day, on Superbowl Sunday every year. It's generally the one day a year I get to have much say in the movies we rent, so I can see some I've been missing out on. We have been getting healthier foods as we get older too, so - despite all the chips and dip, it was the healthiest one so far (strawberries/ veggies & dip/ wings/ cheese and crackers).

We watched Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Cowboys and Aliens, Bridesmaids, and The King's Speech.  Can you guess which movie was DH's pic?

I'm not sure I could get through a movie called Cowboys and Aliens. Definitely seems like a man flick.

Was Snow Flower good?  I loved the book!

I have seen everyone of those except the Cowboy one!  smile.gif   Bridesmaid's wasn't my favorite, but I did laugh at parts.

Cowboys and Aliens was better than Snow Flower. THAT is how disappointing that movie was, considering how much I love the book. I almost turned it off a few times.

I heard so much about "Bridesmaids" for so long, I thought it would be better than it was. It was funny - especially Melissa McCarthy - but Kirsten Wiig was just as irritating in this move as she was in SNL.

I honestly have never known a guy that didn't like sports. Not one I can think off. That would be so weird to me. Plus even if my DH was dead and I was all alone, I'd watch the Super Bowl. I'm always surprised at people who say they have no interest.

But glad you enjoyed your movies. I would love to see King's Speech. Was it good???? Meanwhile we were ECSTATIC in our household watching the Giants beat the Patriots.

Yes, King's Speech was VERY good. Even DH at one point said "pause it - I have to go to the bathroom"  - and then he still sat on the sofa for another 30 minutes. LOL!

He has no interest in sports, which is great. My first DH was a sports nut. It's not that uncommon - very often, the ones who are the science fiction/comic book fans are not into sports. If there is a Godzilla or Japanese Anime day on the sci fi channel, he's all over that. I can't stand football or hockey. If I had to, I could watch a basketball game or baseball game and understand what is going on at least.
