New Show: Doomsday Preppers

Not sure if you're into preparing for the end of the world (as we know it) but if so Doomsday Preppers premieres on the National Geographic Channel tonight at 9pm est/8pm cst.  I'm thinking it may be worth watching to check out their stockpiles. biggrin.gif

 

They even share a great gourmet menu to cook from while you're holed up. wink.gif

Super cool. I'm into this kind of stuff. I'll have to catch it on-line, though, as we don't get that channel on basic cable.

I watched this last night.  It made me realize that dh and I need to be a bit more prepared for emergencies.  As usual for shows like this, it did show people who go to extremes.

 

Did anyone else watch?

I haven't seen it, but I'm guessing their basements and the stockpiles from Extreme Couponing probably look pretty similar.

We watched a bit, and then I fell asleep.   DH dvr'd it for me though.  I'm interested in seeing the lady that's created all the recipes.

 

I thought the first couple was a bit overboard.  The storage containers, the 15 yrs of food, the bug-out plan to the secret location...a little extreme IMO.

The show is kind of like Extreme Couponing meets Conspiracy Theory. lol

Ok I recorded it we have not watched yet. I find this stuff fascinating I do think we need to be prepared but not to that extreme but do we ever really know but I would not want to be prepared at the expense that it consumes my life.

 

I will watch I think it would just be plain fascinating.
