Courtney of The Bachelor: Tricked Producers of the Show

Yeah, except I don't believe that really. That big brother board I belong too also has a bachelor board and lots of general discussion forums, and I spend a lot of time on that board (that's where I read the article about school lunches earlier today). This article was posted earlier there and I read it this morning and there was lots of discussion about it. There is nobody on that board that believes she really "tricked" them. Yes, they probably thought she was sweeter than she's turned out to be, but the producers seem to be loving it. The last few episodes they show Courtney more than Ben even I think. It's really become the Courtney show. They could choose to downplay her nastiness by showing her less, but instead they've chosen to focus on it completely. Plus they send the blonde chick home because she's not being honest with Ben by having a previous boyfriend at home? Yet they let Courtney continue to be a witch and don't warn Ben about that? Everyone there, including me, believe the producers are loving this instead of fretting over it. Lord I dislike that girl.

As far as previous boyfriends, she dated Jesse Metcalfe, the young gardener Eva Longoria had an affair with on Desperate Housewives, for quite a while. Plus she dated some other semi-famous person who is escaping me now. And she also dated the guy that Reese Witherspoon is now married to. So Courtney will never be satisfied with Ben. She's just looking for face time and it appears she's gotten exactly what she wants.

I don't believe it either. Every year they cast a bitch to keep everyone entertained. With how boring Ben is, they have completely focused the show on her. It has worked, they have viewers and everyone is talking about it. Courtney got the publicity she came for and Ben got what he came for...

Well if what he came for was to get a piece of skanky a$$, then yeah, I'd say he got what he came for!

I don't know if he was seriously trying to find a wife or not, but he seems less into the process than many before him, and mainly just totally focused on the one girl. I don't really see romance as much as previous seasons, just mostly lust and enjoying looking at the girl who doesn't mind being unclothed for all to see. He seems more like a horny teenage boy than a mature adult looking for love, but that's just my opinion. Can you tell I'm not all that impressed with Ben?

On a side note, Emily, the blonde he sent home last wk I thought was a darling woman. Bright, classy, pretty, etc. I wish they'd picked her for the bachelorette next season instead of Emily Maynard who I'm not fond of. The Emily who just went home seems like a great catch for a serious man looking for a life partner.

I agree I'm not impressed with Ben either. Every week I say I'm done watching but just got watch the entire thing play out and no that no one will be getting married at the end of this show lol..

 

 

I also agree I like Emily and I'm honestly dreading the bachelorette season with Emily Maynard I could not stand her and I question her ethics of bringing this show to her hometown where her daughter lives seriously thats not cool in my eyes. But with all that said I'm sure I will tune in lol.
 

 

Yeah, I don't think there's anyone getting married either! Rumors are that Ben and his selected sweetheart are already having a bumpy road and just waiting for the show to end so that they can move on with their lives. I would be STUNNED if this ends up in a happy union.

I don't get the point of this show. Do any of them stay together longer than a few months?

There has never been a marriage from the bachelor where the guy selects the girl. (At least I can't think of any). Many of the guys end up selecting a girl that everyone but them can see is a disaster. Some have stayed together for a fairly long time, but no marriages.

They have much better luck with the bachelorette where the girl selects a guy. There's been one marriage where they now have two kids and several other fairly long term relationships. One of the relationships that LOOKED like it was going to work (Ali and Roberto) just recently broke up. There was one girl who stayed with the guy for YEARS but kept getting arrested for beating up the guy .

So yeah, not lots of success.

Ben did not go in this looking for a wife. He went in to promote his winery, to make the six figure paycheck, and meet some hot girls. He was lusting after Courtney hard, and he got her in bed. So yes, I think he got what he came for. He didn't expect the backlash though.
