Anyone have any frugal spring break plans? - Page 3

Dh has this week off and ds has next week off. The years when they have the same break, we go see dh's family, but not this year. They are 450 miles away, so we can't pull it off in a long weekend. 

We went to a little kids' amusement park last weekend and are going to a hotel for a night about 20 minutes away on Friday, it has a great indoor pool and hot tub so we will just swim tons and hang out. We're going to the zoo after school today since Wed is early release. Dh is getting things done around the house and helping me out a lot so I can have an easier week. 

I don't know what I'm going to do with the kids next week. I'm sure we'll go to my parents' house one day, my dad will have the week off too, and maybe ds will have an overnight. Our usual play date and park buddies are out of town, so no luck there. We'll go to the library and park and maybe I'll splurge one day and take them to a bounce/play place.

We stayed at home for Spring Break. We did make sure it was fun though. We went to the park and the splash park. Which was within walking distance so no gas prices!

We aren't doing anything.  The girls aren't school age yet so "Spring Break" basically means that there will be extra kids at their Montessori school this week.  They take a break from the usual routine and do fun games and things when the school districts have Spring Break.  So that'll shake things up a bit.  I think our favorite ice cream place opens this week though and if it does, we'll probably stop for a treat.   

The girls had a lot more fun a couple weeks ago when my sister had her spring break from college.  She came down to our house and took the girls to do fun stuff I never seem to have time to do.
