Plastic Surgeon dad does boob job on own teenage daughter

I think it's weird. He did his other daughter's belly button when she was only 10. I would never want my kids to undergo unnecessary surgery at such a young age. I wonder why his daughters seem to think they need to fix themselves.

She was 18 and wanted new boobs. I guess he thought he would do a better job than someone else. I don't think I would want my dad doing surgery on me. It being Hollywood who knows what people are thinking out there.

odd yes but Drs are trained to see a person that is a patient as a patient when they are doing procedures.  honestly when a dr have see boobs all day boobs are boobs and not sexual. 

I wouldn't want my dad doing it, that is for sure! 

 

As far as unnecessary surgeries, when Emily turns 18, I am going to do everything possible to pay for her to have a breast reduction.  She wants it, and she is ENORMOUS.  She can never find clothes to fit her, and when she does find clothes, they are "old lady clothes".  People constantly tell her to pull her shirt up, but her breasts are so big, they pull down her bra AND shirts without her consent!  She would have to wear turtle necks to stop it.  So far, she has had limited back pain, but since the surgery is available, necessary or not, I am in full support of her having it. 

Seems unethical to perform surgery on your own family member, whatever that surgery is.

I was referring to the 10 year old having belly button surgery. That's very different from an 18 year old having breast reduction surgery to make herself more comfortable and eliminate pain.

Oh I know!  LOL  I just know that some find breast reduction unnecessary.  I had it done myself two years ago and was surprised at those who thought it was wrong!  I meant that there are SOME "unnecessary" surgeries that are okay (and was simply using E as an example!)...but to have your dad do them...multiple times on multiple kids.  That is a bit much!

I don't know. You hear so many times about plastic surgeons really butchering the job, that I can see how a qualified surgeon would not want someone else performing these on his daughter, when he knows he is fully qualified. Now, if it is a life/death kind of surgery, I think that is where ethics come into play & family is generally not allowed to perform procedures because emotions are running high.  So long as the daughter was comfortable with it. I don't think anyone would think twice about an orthodontist doing oral surgery on his own kids.

I don't think there's anything wrong with him doing it from an ethical viewpoint. I don't think it's pervy or anything. I agree that he doesn't really think anything about them as sexual organs when he's performing surgery on them. I saw MANY penises when I worked and trust me, none of them turned me on.

I do however agree with mamax that I thing it's odd that all his children think they have to "fix" themselves. I'm glad my DD at 18 was worried about more in life than if she had huge boobs.
