i have:

student loans: 60,000
credit card; 1000
ken's taxes: 2000
overdraft: 500
ken's old debt: 1000

we have lots, but we are trying to save for a car (taking the bus sucks) and a wedding... thankfully student loan doesn't start payback until june... we'll see how this goes

We were down 3 credit cards and a car payment when my husbands business (construction) was doing great. Then the market here just died overnight and our income got slashed by 2/3's so now we have had to run all the cards back up again.

We are doing Dave Ramsey's debt payoff system, so we WILL get back on top of things. Just a matter of time.

You all are doing so great!

We've been using Terry Riggs Snowball debt payments and gone from over $50,000 to $17760 in 2 years. Cut in pay tmid last year has made it hard but I'll list em here and the committment in writing will help I'm sure.

Visa 3000
CC 3000
Personal Loan 11760
= 17760

I'm paying $113 per week and have just changed from automatic fortnightly payments on these to weekly... apparently it reduces the interest by heaps.

Visa 12.50 p/wk
cc 50.50 p/wk
Loan 50 p/wk
= 113

not much left for fun but the library has some great new dvd's for the kids and some awesome Personal development and money management books to read to keep us busy...

Besides I'm so into 'The Secret' right now I don't have time to do anything else fun...
