I like making guacamole but hate paying more than $1 per avocado.  A couple months they were on sale at ALDI so I decided to see if they would freeze.  Yes, they do!  I dipped mine in lime juice first so they wouldn't turn brown, but it worked!  I'd say the consistency changes slightly - they're a little grainy after freezing but fine for guacamole.

Awesome!  That would make for awesome smoothies as well!  If you've never tried an avocado smoothie, try it!

I recently tried this, too.  I didn't put mine in anything and froze the slices.  They thawed fine.

So, by the same token, do you think you could make the guacamole with lemon juice, and freeze that?

Mmmm.... I think the more you chop up the avocado, the more likely it is to turn brown.  I guess I wouldn't.
