Spinach Artichoke and Smoked Turkey Panini

Spinach Artichoke and Smoked Turkey Panini

  • Two slices of bread
  • Spinach artichoke dip
  • Smoked turkey
  • Additional Parmesan cheese if desired (there is already Parmesan in the dip, but I like to add a little extra)

I used my panini press for this, but you could just make it like you would a grilled cheese sandwich.  SO very yummy, quick and easy!

This sounds like a Panera clone of their turkey artichoke sandwich. That's the favorite sandwich they have for me and my DS. I've never tried making it at home. Sounds good.

Try this sometime and let me know what you think.  I've never had the one at Panera.

It's the only sandwich that DS and I ordered for years. They were so yummy and had lots of the spread/dip like you show on yours. The last two times we've had them though we've been disappointed as you can barely even see a little smear of the artichoke spread. I think I'll try making them instead and see if it's more like the older version. I pinned your spinach artichoke dip but may try making a lower fat version since DH is fanatical now about low fat, but yours sounds better!! smile.gif

Yeah, it's definitely not a low-fat recipe but could probably be modified.

I've started making grilled cheese sandwiches in my George Foreman. Works just like a panini press! (I assume - I don't have a panini press wink.gif)

That is a great idea.  Plus, it would give the sandwich those cool grill marks.  :)  I got my Panini press on 75% off clearance at Target last year.

Exactly - those make it taste better. Plus, you don't have to butter the bread if you don't want to.

I just tried your tip on a Ham & Swiss sandwich today.  Worked like a charm!
