A few months ago I stumbled onto a recipe for Non-Toxic glitter and I thought it would be PERFECT for little hands that want to craft, but also can’t resist the temptation of sticking things in their mouths (or in my case, my husband who right after I proclaimed it was made from salt, proceeded to taste test it…and there-by verify it's non-toxic-ness...Salty...but safe
)A big Thank you to Planetpals.com for introducing me to this recipe!
What you'll need:
•Baking Pan
•Tin Foil
•1/4 cup of salt
•1/2 teaspoon of food coloring

Directions:
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees
•Mix 1/4 cup of salt with a 1/2 teaspoon of food coloring in a small bowl until the salt is completely colored (I used a fork for stirring to break up any lumps)

•Spread the mixture evenly out in a layer on a foil-lined baking sheet.

•Bake in the oven for ten minutes. Allow to cool.
You're done and ready to create!
You can also store it in an airtight container for several months until you're ready to use it

*Note:
I noticed when I was done my "glitter" was more like colored sand, so I added just a pinch of plain uncolored salt to the color mix after it cooled and it gave it that 'glitter' effect!
