Whether she was doing something illegal or not, I would not want my children taught by a porn actress. My children had great respect for all their teachers and I don't know how they could have, or for that matter how I would have, had respect for them . Call me prudish or whatever, but I don't want my children to think that a porn actor is a respectable job.
Agree!

So if you have a teacher who, in their spare time, volunteers with the Klu Kux Klan or some other hate program against homosexuality or whatever, something not desirable by any means, but an organization that also is not illegal, are you OK with this person teaching your children? What is the difference?
Good point. Just because something is legal doesn't mean I want my children exposed to it.

As long as she wasn't bringing her hatred into the classroom, it's her business, even if I disagree with it. .

What if your kids watched her walking out in her Arian Nations parade the weekend before? Or picking up trash along side the road with the rest of her I HATE ______ group as their family drove by. The thing is, kids see this stuff, even porn, and maybe it does not effect how the teacher teaches, it does effect how the students view them.
Your typical junior high student is not mature enough to handle knowing their teacher is being paid to perform sexual acts, legal or illegal. In junior high, you either are dealing with the kids that are just beginning to experience their own sexual nature or the kids that still sleep with stuff animals and the sex issue is not even on the radar. Either way, they just ate not equipped to understand or accept that their teacher is a porn actress on the weekends.
If you want to act in porn, then be a porn actor. If you want to be a teacher, then be a teacher. But pick one. You cannot do both. If you acted in porn when you were younger, realized it was a horrible mistake, you have turned your life around and all you want to do is become a teacher, than teach at a higher level, college or be up front when you are applying for your teaching job and explain your past. Hopefully you find a school district that is willing to work with you.

If the kids had seen her at a Kluxer gathering or a NOM rally, they would know that she had differing views from them.
I had a chemistry teacher in high school who was a hard-core fundamentalist - he even kept a box of those cheesy Jack Chick tracts on his desk. It didn't bother me that his religious beliefs weren't the same as mine, or even that he personally believed I was doomed to hell, as long as he kept his mouth shut about it in the classroom.

People can think what they want and believe what they want. It boggles my mind that in this day and age people are willing to witch hunt those with differing opinions. So long as a belief (not the concrete, educational facts they are being paid and expected to teach), but their personal opinion or feeling, isn't being forced down the throats of the children in the teachers classroom, and the teacher is not doing anything illegal, I don't care if she's a porn star, a member of the Klan, or believes intelligent hamsters will one day rule the world and we will be forced to power their domain by running on wheels. What the teacher does outside of the classroom is her right and no one else's darn business. As far as I knew teachers are entitled to a life just like the rest of us, and can choose how they want to live that life just like the rest of us. Whether you agree with how they live their life or not is absolutely moot.

But we are not talking about this woman's opinions. She can have the opinion of "I like sex" or "I like sex with multiple men" or "I like having sex with multiple men and women while the camera is filming". We are talking about something she actually did. She did go out and have sex in the porn industry, it was filmed and evidently the video remains somewhere on the wild wild web. The school did not find it. The other teachers did not find it. It wasn't even the parents. It was the students themselves. At that point the kids are no longer looking at her talk about English or History or whatever she taught. Now they are looking at her like, "Wow, I have seen her naked" or "She's really loud" or "I wonder if that mole was real or photoshopped" at the very least they are looking at her like "She really did THAT?" Things you really should never know about your junior high teacher. She is a distraction to the learning process at her school and she should be removed.
A few years ago, there was a white man, I forget the details, he was a principal at a predominately black school. I believe he even had a pretty good track record. But guess what? He didn't like black people. He also, as I recall, when on the Internet and shared his views on black people. He didn't talk about his job or the kids he worked with but guess what, people did not want this man working with their kids and he was removed. And can you blame the parents or the school? I would not want an opening racist teacher working with my kids any more than I would want a porn star. Yes, you are completely entitled to your opinions but you still need to watch your actions.

It was done outside the school - I don't care what her actions were, so long as she's not breaking any laws. What about a teacher who runs into a store and parks in the handicap spot because he'll just be a minute - I'm sure people would consider that to be morally wrong too, should he be fired? Maybe a student spotted him doing it and is now 'morally confused' or unable to concentrate on his lesson.
