Random Acts of Kindness Ideas for Kids

What Random Acts of Kindness can we encourage our kids to do?  Particularly ones that are easy for them and not a source of embarrassment.  :)

 

Invite a new kid to sit with them at lunch

Thank a teacher

Clean without being asked

Offer to walk a dog

Open the door for others.

Lend a pencil to a classmate.

Bring the newspaper up to the door for a neighbor.

Pick up trash when they walk outside.

Help carry a school bag for a younger child.

Complementing mom or telling her you love her

Bringing in needed supplies to the teacher

Bringing flowers or cookies to the principal (I'm sure it's sometimes a thankless job)

Read to a story to a younger sibling. 

Call grandma/grandpa just to say hi.

Make a card for a teacher/principal.

Any other ideas?

 

  • Have them pack extra treats in their lunch to give to friends at school
  • Stick $1 in a library book for the next child that checks it out
  • Write a letter to a relative or friend that lives far away
  • Bring a box of toys they don't use any more to a younger neighbor
