Shakeology - Page 2

We just purchased a Blendtec and I love it.  But I use only fresh fruits and vegetables.  I don't add any protein powder or anything to them, nor dairy, but I don't do meal replacements - these are more like smoothies in between meals.  I do mostly the green smoothies with spinach combined with a variety of fruits.

I like the Blendtec because it is a multi tasker for sure.  I originally bought it to grind wheat for making my own flour.  But if you can't do the fresh vegetable thing, I think do what you Can do, and if this is it for you, that's great!  I must look up their website!!

I don't really understand the hype.  The protein/calorie/fat/carb content is very similar to the 100% Whey protein powder I've been buying for years for much, much less.  Shakeology does have the extra vitamins, which you can get from a multi-vitamin.  I guess if it works for people then that is great but it seem very easy to replicate at home, which is what I think most people end of doing eventually.

I would be curious to know what they recommend you eat the rest of the day after the shake.

I was right about the shakes and vitamin not getting it.  They called yesterday and told me to start with 1,000 mcg of B12 and 1,000 iu of vitamin D.

Drank my first Green Berry shake last night.  Tasted pretty good.  We shall see!
