Hello Mommysavers!

I have started to eat healthy today, being concious of fats, sugars, etc. and making sure to get high quality proteins, lots of fiber and whole grains.

But I'm also on a budget, which makes it hard!

I'd love to know what are your Healthy, Frugal dinner meals...

(a non-frugal example: I just bought the Jenny-O 99% Fat Free Turkey package for $7! )

I have read too much soy is not good for women (im already irregular as it is... sorry TMI) smile.gif

so what's a busy mom to do?

Thank sooo much in advance for your help!!

I would suggest reading the perfect 10 diet. It is the best diet in my eyes with all the additives in food in todays world.

Thanks Debellafunk!

I have never heard of it... yes, I'm definitly trying to stay away from additives, hormones, etc...

Started buying Horizon Milk for my 11 yr old 5ft 2in (my height) ! as he drinks so much of it... but its $7/Gallon! ouch!

I will look for the book when I get home!

I really love experimenting with grains, because they're relatively frugal.  Whole grains are even better.  Rice and beans are great.  I sometimes add black beans to the Chipotle Copycat Cilanto Lime Rice recipe.

Chipotle Orzo Salad (beans add protein, and the dressing is yogurt, so low-fat)

Do you like fish?  This recipe is my favorite (Parmesan Crusted Swai), but I would just but back on the butter to make it low-fat.
