Contacts or glasses? - Page 2

I wear glasses only. I wore contacts in my teens and would like to again but I am too lazy to try. I also have trouble getting them in because I have really long eye lashes and they get in the way.

I used to wear contacts.  I had Lasik surgery 10 years ago, and now I only wear glasses while driving at night.

Glasses. I used to wear contacts in college & until I got married and started working at EDS. At that point, I had a desk job where I needed to go from paperwork to a computer screen & my eyes couldn't focus back and forth between the two fast enough, so I started wearing my glasses to work, contacts on weekends, and then I just wasn't wearing contacts enough to justify all the supplies for them (this was back before disposables, so you had cleaners, saline, the heat thing to put them in at night, etc.).

I have rimless titanium glasses that are not the focal point of my face, so I'm happy with them. You can see in this shot that they don't overpower my face/hide my eyes.

Contacts.  I have glasses that I wear at night and if my eyes are ever irritated, but I rarely go out in public with them.

Both.  I have to wear gas perm (hard) contacts because I have such bad astigmatism.  I've found that I can extend the life of my contacts by wearing glasses more often (like when I'm going to spend the day at home and not go anywhere).  When I'm going to go out and be in public, I always wear my contacts.

I would prefer to wear contacts the majority of the time, even at home.  I don't like the way I look in glasses and I don't like the feel of glasses on my face.  However, it saves me money to only wear contacts a few times a week.

I have astigmatism as well, and am really far-sighted, so I've never even tried contacts. When I first asked about them in high school, they couldn't really do much for my vision back then. Now I'm sure they could, but I am lazy and I like the look of my glasses, so I'm good.
