31 Days of RAKs: Day 13 (Mother's Day)

Did you do anything nice for someone that WASN'T your mom or mother-in-law?

I shared some of my flowers with our next door neighbor.  I also got a nice text from Susannah and paid it forward by wishing some of my other friends a Happy mother's Day via text.

I sent a lot of MD wishes!

I emptied the dishwasher while the kids were out doing yard work.  They were surprised it was all finished when they went to empty it!

I treated the boys to Icees too, then told them to go to the bakery to get a cookie.  They looked at each other, grinned and took off!

I don't even think I acknowledge MIL yesterday (though we had dinner with them before we left, and gave her a gift).  But here are some RAKs I've done in the past few days (playing catchup reporting them here)

  • I noticed the girl sitting next to me had made her purse (I recognized the pattern) and complimented her on it. Those of us who are crafty know how much that can mean.
  • Added the $1 donation to my grocery store bill.
  • Said happy birthday to a little boy with a birthday sticker.
  • Picked up trash two different days.  I guarantee everyone walking to the parking lot noticed that cup sitting there (I did about 4 times before picking it up) so even though no one will notice that I threw it away, it made a difference.
  • And like I mentioned yesterday, I think I've just been more polite and friendly in general.
