My rasberry, blueberry and strawberry plants arrived

I am so excited to get my fruit plants finally!  Check out the packaging they arrived in.  This package had 50 strawberry plants, 3 raspberry plants and 3 blueberry plants.  The packaging says they have researched this to be the best way to ship them, I am a bit skeptical.  We'll have to see.  Anyone else order these plants?   Is this the norm?

I've never ordered them but they all grow like weeds so I wouldn't worry.  I've been trying to get rid of raspberry bushes but now they spread to the neighbor, who decided to keep them so they just keep coming back.  Be sure to plant them somewhere that you don't mind if they spread!  I loved having them but they were so unattractive that I finally gave up.

I don't see anything wrong with that packaging. Why do you find it questionable?

 

Just be careful with the raspberries come picking time, they'll stick ya' haha

You must be having a big garden this year! I think those plants will be fine. I've gotten other plants like that before.

I am sure the packaging is fine, just not what I expected.  It's 50 strawberry plants, plus the 6 plants all wound into a 3" bundle.

I'm planting the raspberry and blueberry plants in pots, so I won't have to worry about them spreading.  I decided to do that in case we move after a couple years since they take a couple years to start producing fruit.

Cute blog! It looked so small until I saw it with your DD and your DH standing next to it and then realized it's pretty large!! needed them there for the perspective. Good luck with it.

I love my raspberry bush. And yes put it in a spot where it can spread. I end up bringing raspberries to work and giving them away because it produces so much.
