How does your garden look so far this year?

I planted some basil, but it didn't make it.  We have a small patio at our new place, so I'm going to do some container gardening. The good news is that the growing season down here will be 3 times longer than in UT.

My plants are doing well.  I have tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupe, zucchini and watermelon.  I need to get some lettuce, mine didn't make it.

Not sure quite yet. This is our first year but just about everything is planted save the winter squash, pumpkins and our pole beans. (we still need to tweak the supports going with the been fort idea)

Still need to get some strawberries

We are bringing the tomatoes and peppers in and out.

Got my raspberries going. 14 plants from a girl friend so 15 in all I bought one before she offered.

Herbs I need to figure out how to dry and harvest them. I waited too long on some my cilantro and dill have already went to seed. Herbs are indoors for me

My only gripe about starting a garden is the start up cost. Yes it will pay for its self in fresh produce (Hopefully) but as of now its every time we turn around we have something else to get. Even Dirt is not Dirt cheep when you buy 4cubic yards of it.

Just put it in yesterday, so not much yet.

After this week and weekend I can focus on it more. Hoping that over Memorial weekend we can get it put in.

The tomatoes, onions, and zucchini are coming along. I can't wait to be able to eat out of our yard. I need to plant more herbs and green onions. I may even try some lettuce as I think I have some seeds.

I have tried peppers and they have done well but they have been so cheap around here I figure it was better to plant more tomatoes. I haven't had any luck with pumpkins or beans or cucumbers so I decided against any more attempts as well.

We have had an apricot tree for at least 10 years with no fruit and it has fruit on it this year I can't wait. I think it needed the shelter of the dead daisy bush that I just removed as there were only fruit on the side it was on so  this may be the only year we get fruit off of it :(

The plum tree only has a few plums but the peach tree is loaded - hoping to beat the birds and bees this year. We need to figure out a way to cover the tree.

Mine is having changes every day, it's getting exciting to see things pop up.

I pulled out green onions already, just planted those on May 3rd!  I think I did pull them up a bit too early though, they were tall, but the bulb wasn't as big as what I have seen.

My peas are doing great, my pumpkin has a few big leaves, I had a nice tomato growing, but it's gone, think squirrels got it or some other animal.  Was really bummed.  My strawberry plants are getting some green leaves, hopefully what ever was pulling them up will stop now that I put Cheyenne pepper in the bed.  The plants I transplanted seem to be doing good.

This is my first time gardening too.  Really enjoying it.

I finally got mine planted this weekend!  I have tomatoes (Roma, cherry, and regular), peppers (sweet & jalapeno), a cantaloupe, and herbs (parsley & rosemary) that I bought as plants at the greenhouse.  My thyme & chives are perennials, so I didn't have to worry about them.  I have green beans & peas that I started from seed (the peas I actually planted about 2 weeks ago).  The greenhouse didn't have cucumbers or basil, so I'll look for those at our local farmers' market this week.  I also told DS #2 that if I found a watermelon plant that wasn't going to get totally huge, I'd get one of those, too.  Now the hard part of waiting to harvest & enjoy it all.

So far so good. I didn't plant as much as I would have liked this year, but with the amount of projects we've got going on I didn't think I'd be able to keep up with a larger garden.

I'm contemplating putting in a few fruit trees though. I haven't made up my mind where they would actually go haha
