Have you been on the receiving end of any RAKs lately?  What were they?

yes! And I've been noticing them particularly because of this project. Here are just a few

  • While we were waiting for our take-out order at a bakery, a worker brought out two turtle-shaped breads for my kids.
  • A friend send me a card in the mail wink.gif
  • lots of people have held the door for me, etc.

A church friend just gave me a gift certificate for a free months worth of art classes at an expensive Kids Art studio.  She overheard me say that I wanted to sign my 5 YO daughter up for art classes this summer, but they were so expensive.  She had been holding this gift certificate in her car for 3 years!  Now I get to sign my daughter up for the exact art class I thought she would like the most for free.  Woohoo!

I had my bike and bike trailer this morning, and to get through the gates at school, you have to of course open them!  Very difficult with just a bike, and not the trailer.

A woman a few yards away noticed and opened the gate for me, it was really sweet!

I went through Dunkin Donuts the other day and the person in line before me had paid for my order. I had my wallet out, was expecting to pay, so just paid for the person behind me. It was an unexpected little moment. A reminder that not everyone are a-holes ROTF.gif

A wonderful mother on our ball team bought a pop up style awning and lugged it to the ball fields today to set up over our team parents.  It was 103*...and our second game of the day.  I was SO grateful!!

A couple of months ago; when I was at Price Chopper, the person in front of me had forgotten their store discount card. So I let her use my card; thus saving her money off of her grocery bill. In return she bought the 3.5 lb box of Meow Mix for me! That was an unexpected surprise. I love it!

A lady at Aldi's gave me her carriage and when I started looking in my purse for a quarter, she told me don't worry about it.

yesterday my dd! was riding her bike & she came to the house & told me that our neighbors across the street had left some zucchinis & yellow squash by the roadway with a note saying "take & enjoy; we have plenty".   There were 2 zucchini & 2 yellow squash left, so we took them.   We are having the zucchini for supper tonight.  I will make sure I make them a treat as thanks & send it over.   I thought that was sweet of them (they're an older couple & we really like them).
