A June Fitness Challenge

Who is interested in setting a total minutes of working out goal for June?  Calculate how many minutes you want to work out per week (whether it is walking, running, an exercise class, weight training, etc) and multiply it by 4 to get your goal for the month.  Post that you are up for the challenge with your goal and then come back each week to check in.

I"m in! (60 minutes a week)

Great challenge! I am dedicated already but with summer break for kids makes it a little tougher....

I'm in too! My goal is 360 minutes/week (approx 60 min/day, 6 days a week). That's 1440 minutes/month.

I'm just counting the "me time" fitness: M-F brisk morning walk by myself (30-45 min depending on where I go), two 10 mile bike rides at home (45-50 min) and Mon or Fri evening lap swim (45 minutes).

I am not counting the after dinner family walks and hikes we are starting up again for the summer or the zoo, etc, the kids are slow so it's more for enjoyment than fitness. I am also not counting family rec swim once a week where I'm pretty much a slave to my 2 year old.

I am also going for 360 a week. We have been slacking with soccer season and dh finishing up his classes, but now that I am done with work for awhile. (schools out!). And dh is done with classes forever, we are going to hit it hard again!

My goal is 300 minutes a week but hopefully I will hit even more than that. I feel I will be challenged to find time mid month. We will be going away on vacation with friends for a week so am hoping to be able to fit it all in.

I'm going to be realistic and say 120 minutes per week.  I'd love to say I'd do more but with the kids, that probably isn't going to happen.  Every time I even get near that elliptical they need something.  rolleyes.gif

My goal is 260 minutes a week and hoping to add a few more.  We have 4 full weeks in June with two extra days.  So my total minutes for the month will be about 1100 minutes.

I'm bumping down to 300 minutes/week for a 1200 minute month. I can't always guarantee catch up time on the weekend with dh's schedule and I need to be more realistic.

I would like to do this! I'm aiming for 600 minutes this month.
