Do you have an annoying co-worker?

What does he/she do that annoys you?

My boss clips his nails frequently throughout the day.  I'm right outside his office and can hear it.

My co-worker never has a positive thing to say about her life.  She's definitely a Debbie Downer.

I used to work with a lady who had to turn every conversation back to herself and try and one-up you. Oh and nothing was ever her fault. No matter what trouble her kids got into it was always someone else's fault.

I had a co-worker who was - literally - a stalker.

She would become obsessed with a co-worker and start following that person around then harass them. HR wouldn't believe people when they complained about her because she usually obsessed about another female and they just didn't believe there could be female on female stalking. They thought we were all just being "catty".

Unfortunately, at one point she obsessed about me. She made the mistake of starting to threaten my life. Now when I complained to HR they had to take it seriously. At one point, they cleared the entire building so they could search her cubical for a gun - which they didn't find.

The only time I got relief was when she decided to start to obsess on another female co-worker. I went to that co-worker and acknowledged what she was going through but, frankly, there wasn't much I could do. Besides, I admitted, I was relieved it wasn't me anymore.

The co-worker finally made the mistake of taking vacation without permission. She had already blown through her vacation time and "informed" me (I was her supervisor) that she was going to go to Germany for two weeks. She thought as long as she took the time off without pay it would be okay. I informed her that it wasn't. The problem was, at this point, she was stalking co-workers off hours so much, we didn't know if she was taking time off to actually go out of town or to do damage to our homes or families while we were at work. After three days HR sent her a Fedex to tell her to either come up with a doctor's excuse as to why she was gone or to return to work - or she'd be fired. Since, apparently, she was already out of town (thank goodness!) she couldn't return in time and was let go!

Yippee! Right?

Nope. After that HR pulled everyone that she had been stalking into a meeting and had a "safety expert" inform us that when she returned she would really be p!ssed. Her return would be the most dangerous time for us. We all had to park in certain places so they could check our cars for bombs during the day and we had to be escorted anytime we left the building. It was a real pain.

Since it is just me and my boss, I sure ain't going to admit that I annoyed myself!!!LOL

And the only thing about my boss, is that he jumps from one client issue to another when we are right in the middle of handling the first one.

My co-worker is like this too--with her sad stories.  I rarely talk about myself, but when I do, she turns it back to her and tells another sad tale of her kids.

I cannot believe they let her back to work!

There's just me, my boss and my coworker too.  And I'm complaining about both of them!  ROTF.gif  But thankful for the job!

Yes, a few of them. Mostly I am annoyed by people who do not do their jobs. Also, a couple that work at a school, but don't seem to even like kids.

Not anymore, but I've had my share of them.  I think the most annoying one I had was "J" whom I shared an office with.  She would not shut up.  EVER.  She loved to ramble on and on about anything and everything.  I don't know when she got any work done.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant when she returned from her trip. At that point she knew everything about us - where we worked / where we lived, had time on her hands, and was royally ticked-off. That was when she was the most dangerous. There was only a rumor that they found her on company property but HR never told us officially so I don't know.

I work with a man that is a compulsive liar. He will lie about anything he can. I just can't stand it!
