Book Worms

Today is my kiddo's last day of school, so for his Kindergarten graduation gift I made him a summer fun bucket.  Its mostly stuff I would buy all summer anyway, but I stuffed it into a big bucket all at once....water toys, sunblock, popsicles, bubbles, etc.

I wanted to add some stuff for learning too, so I put in an easy read chapter book, a book mark, a math workbook....

But to go along with the book I got some gummy worms and made a little tag for them that says book worms.  I got the idea from the internet.  Darn that Pinterest!!  lol

I wanted to make a reading journal too, but never got around to it, so hopefully next year.

What a cute idea! Did you send the bucket to the class and the kids get to pick things out of it? I was wrecking my brain to do something for my son's first grade class. Their last day is Thursday!

No, the bucket was just for him when he got home.  I gave him the book worms to go along with the book I stuck in there.

I was thinking the book worms would be a cute idea to hand out at school during Dr. Seuss/reading week though.
