I had seen this egg technique with green and red peppers, but I didn't have those at home. Instead, I used an onion. Slice a large onion and fry the egg inside the onion ring. It gives it shape and loads of flavor!

I don't really like onions, but I bet if I made that and removed the onion the egg would have great flavor.
....I wonder if I cut a hole in a sausage patty...
I didnt cut a whole in the sausage but put the patty around the egg ... it worked I make up our sausage .. so I made up some patty meat
and kind of bit and a piece sausage around it . .. the eggs got too done but I am still working on it
I'm thinking put a slice of tomato inside the onion ring, and let the egg run through the tomato.
Love this, for me. Kiddos would just like the egg, but this is yummo for DH and me. Thx!
