I only walked 4.5 miles this week (lots of bike riding instead). I'm planning on getting another walk in on Sunday.
My walking shoes had seen better days, so I bought new shoes and was cheap about it. I ended up with blisters on the middle of the bottom of each foot earlier this week, and then when I went out for a walk yesterday felt them building up again and only made it 30 min. Plus, I got shin splints, ouch. The shoes are okay for running errands, etc, but not for long walks. I ordered a new pair of Nike walkers from Zappos yesterday, the same exact shoe I have worn for the last couple years so I'm hopeful the blister issue will be resolved. Lesson learned.
