Would you allow your child to ride a motorized scooter with a helmet or shoes? - Page 2

Shhhhhhhh ... DD rides her electric scooter without a helmet. I know. I hate it but she wasn't riding on the street when she got the scooter and the helmet seemed over-kill. Now that the only place she really can ride the e-scooter is the street - and a busy one at that - the helmet will be mandatory and she'll understand / agree.

She isn't allowed to ride her scooter with flip-flops on so bare feet would definitely be a "no".

smile.gif  I guess I need to reprimand you.  LOL.  This boy was riding his on the side walk and it was going very fast.  It just really scared me.  I really think he is an accident waiting to happen.

I wouldn't want them on one period.

I don't want my kids on one at all. My oldest dd has a friend who fell off of a scooter and she broke her collar bone. I am not sure if she had a helmet on.

On a side note, my kids don't have a helmet for their bikes. But, they don't ride on a street but in the neighbors driveway or our driveway.
