What does breakfast look like in the summer months?

I actually am going to start changing breakfast at some point this summer. My kids have always eaten an early morning cheerios and banana, then a second breakfast at about 9:30 of egg, fruit and some kind of toast. Even with ds's 5 day transitional K this year, it did not start until 10, so we were able to continue with the 2 breakfasts.
When he starts K in August, we will need to leave the house by 8:00 every morning, so I will need to get him used to eating a more substantial early breakfast with protein. I'll start making the switch halfway through the summer to get him used to it.
