I'd say that the best tip for a successful outdoor gathering is getting FAMILY together!!! One of the best memories my girls have of my father (who passed last July) is when he hosted family dinners. He was the best at getting us all together and making AWESOME food! The very last one that he hosted was July 4th last year. He made a point of making smores with my girls, and they will forever remember doing that with him!! Here's a pic with my girls and their papa!!
