Understand Store Policies!

One of my local stores has a policy that if the price rings up differently than the price on the shelf then you get that item for free!!

value-look for the best deals being offered by all stores in your area (price shop), calculate cost per weight(bigger isnt always better), and check all brands to find the best deal on items (sometimes generic & dollar stores isn't always the best deal), find the deal that is giving you the best value for your dollar!

X - eXpiration dates.  Before buying perishable sale items, check the expiration dates.  It's not a good deal if it will spoil before you can use it.  Some things nearing their expiration dates are OK to freeze.  Just make sure you use or freeze ASAP.

Zip through the store with a basket if you only need a few items in the store. If you grab a cart you might be tempted to grab more items that are not on the list (and that was all I could come up with for Z)
