Variety - Make sure you build a variety of frugal meals into your menu plan. Otherwise, you may get tired of eating the same things over and over again and be more tempted to splurge or eat out. If you eat a lot of pasta, try different shapes and sauces. Also, getting accustomed to a variety of foods will help you know what to cook with sale foods and expose your kids to new tastes and flavors.
