Go to the store with only $20 in your pocket and try to get as much food as you can for a week. Please try to post a picture and let us know how you saved!!

This is a really great challenge idea! I can't participate right now since we're moving and living off cereal, but I'd love to try it.

If it was just my family, I might try but not with the boys.

Okay I spent $25.74. It will cover 5 dinners and lunch for one week. I did have some of the stuff I needed on hand and will make a couple things from scratch with stuff I already have. In the picture I have three cans of Grand biscuits but the last two got cut off. I only used one manufactures coupon. I had four Kroger coupons, free bottle water, free chips, free frozen vegetables, and a free dozen eggs. I will try to get a picture of my receipt, it came our very blurry.

Great job, Misty.  I got a pretty decent amount for under $20 this week, but I forgot about your challenge and didn't take a picture.  I'll try again next week.

Yeah I was going to post my two weeks menu, but here is the list of meals.

Meals covered by trip:
Pork and been enchildadas (I had a can of refried beans and some leftover pork loin. Going to make my tortillas from scratch)
Skillet Pizza monkey bread
Chicken and Cheese Lasagna Roll-Ups with garlic bread (I had left over chicken, lasagna noodles, and sauce. Plus the recipie makes enough for two small pans so I will freeze the extra roll ups for second dinner)
Eggs Ham and Biscuits (I have the ham)
Crockpot Stuffed peppers (I had rice and a can of tomato sauce already. I also have the ground turkey as well)
Lunch-Sandwiches with chips
(Peanut butter and jelly or ham and cheese both of which I already had. I stocked up on bread so I still had a couple of loaves in my freezer)

The bananas are for lunch for Ds, he will only eat two kinds of fruit right now. Dh and I have apples. The squash and zucchini I grate up really fine and add it to my spaghetti sauce for some extra hidden veggies. So I will use half in the sauce for my Chicken Lasagna roll ups and the other half I will add to the rice for my stuffed peppers.
