Have you started Christmas shopping yet??? - Page 3

Our needs and wants are so pressing right now, I can't even imagine spending money on Christmas yet. We have Father's Day coming up, more summer camps to pay for, DD's birthday in a couple of months plus back to school shopping. I'm cash-flowing Christmas and will probably start in October / November.

I know ds would love Skylanders (sp?) so I bought the main set plus a bunch of 3 pack characters that were on sale.  I have no idea about the rest, but that is his main Christmas gift.  I have no idea about birthday (it's in December too).  I might get started on stocking stuffers (boy I hate those things) harder and harder to buy SS without buying junk and the same things over and over.

Stormy just make sure that he has at least one of each class  - or the ability to work to get them( You have 8 different classes ) as a certain class ie water will unlock a certain part of the game that the other characters cannot access.

Ok, how am I going to know this?  I have bought the 3 character packages, and I bought the "Portal" and I think 6 of the 3 character sets.   Thanks!

Yes, when the grocery store has their buy $50 in gift cards and get $10 in groceries, I start..  Shop Rite is doing this now...   I get the gift card(s) in one transaction and then my $10 in groceries in the next transaction..

Closer to "black friday " the grocery stores do this also.

I have a few stocking stuffers I've picked up on clearance and with coupons. Mostly stuff for bonus daughters (lip glosses, nail files, eyeshadows, nail polish) and a couple of monster trucks for the boys. Nothing much but I should get to it since I was just informed my SIL and her family will be coming down for the holidays.. Great! Not!mad.gif

My answer came off as snippy, when I re-read it...but I truly want to know if the stuff I bought is OK - yikes I better take a closer look at them!

Air, water, earth, fire, and something else. They have little pictures on the box. Air has like clouds.

The kids are explaining this to me if I sound a little choppy and distracted.

There is Water, Air, Earth, Magic, Fire , Tech, Undead and Life

If you look at the characters base - each element has a diffrent type of base - ie tech base has little gears on it. We also learnt the hard way. You have some characters ( shark, undead guy with mace, an air dragon and another character ( I forget what))  that comes with extras that open up another part of the game. - like a expansion so to speak. Shark Guy comes with a pirate ship, treasure chest and a double sword - the ship gives you another "land" to play in - while the treasure cheast and double sword can be used through out all lands, Undead guy has a crypt, a potion...and something else.) It can get a bit crazy if you go overboard - DH "NEEDS" to have one of each character. I stopped him at buying diffrent types of the same character. SIL and her two kids have all the current ones available - each of them have their own set ( way to go stupid)
