Simple Pleasures for the week of June 11

What's simply made you smile?

Summer school started on Monday, so I hadn't seen most of the kids in a couple of weeks the little special needs boy that I work with gave me the biggest smile ever when he saw me and has not let me out of his sight since! Let me tell you, at the end of the school year, he was not so happy to be with me!

Since the girls' school year ended, we've been doing "mommy school" and I love it.  It gives me my teaching fix and I just love watching them learn and grow.

I have an evening off!!!  I ran boys to and from camps this morning/afternoon and took ds 1 for a blood test, but there are no games nor practices tonight.  I made the best thing ever for dinner, reservations!!!!

And I've had time to clean today!  I feel like I just keep picking up messes & clutter but not cleaning.  Today I cleaned and so did the kids!

Today I went and picked strawberries, there were two older gentlemen picking in the rows beside me, They made me smile with there chatter and included me every now and then, I was able to fill by baskets faster than they did so I helped them (one was about ready to give up and he still had 2 or 3 empty baskets) getting them some berries from my row I did about a quart for each of them (in less than 10 minutes). Made me happy to help them.

i've had a rough time with car problems & yesterday was the worst day of them all, so my mom surprised me with a homemade strawberry pie today to cheer me up.   I made sure I thanked her specially!   It was a nice surprise & very tasty!!!
