Funny things do with their with their kids names.

I was just looking at our local paper and this couple have named their daughter, Mahayla, Marissa, Makensie, and Madalynn. Not really funny but dang, what a mouthful when you say all of their names together. Lol.

Our own kids, though we didn't actually plan this, both have the same initials. We always debated, if we had a third child, would we keep the same initial theme since, like I said, we didn't originally plan it that way.

We used to have some friends with the last name, "Armstrong".  My youngest would call them Mr. "Bigmuscles" for the longest.  It was totally innocent on her part....she just couldn't remember it QUITE right!!

my cousin and her dh named there kids all with the letter K and there last name is a K name as well plus both there names are K so all 5 of them have a K first name and last, it can really be a mouthful.

they only stayed with K after the first child (that was a fluke, they liked the name) they wanted the letters to be the same so 1 kid would not be left out.

Princess Really???? Hello, don't start the kid off with a big head or anything! LOL My nephews name is Alex Hunter Champ ______. SIL had a hard time in labor and delivery so they just had to put Champ on the poor kids birth certificate.

I am friends with two brothers Andrew and Peter. Their parents thought it would be funny as their surnames are Nice (It was pronounced Nis). So when they got called at school it was A.Nice and P.Nice. with parents like that - heck who needs bullies.

Peter made sure his kids names could not be made into taunts.

I know a Richard Head, but he goes by 'Dick'.  He's a total tool, so I suppose it's fitting lol

I don't necessarily have a problem with matchy names, but if that's the first criteria on naming your child (it needs to start with a J) it can sound forced quick.  Some people do it and it still sounds tasteful, I have a friend with 4 children whose names all start with M, they are all cute names that match each child. Not "Oh, it's another boy. We're down to Machali and Meerkat as possible names"  Especially if you have a lot of kids, ala the Duggar name craziness haha.

Our kids all have a ie/y ending to their first name (or nickname) is that weird?

Oh, I did make sure none of the kid's names ended in 'n' though. With my married name I am "Karen N__" It just runs together and sounds awful haha So with the kiddos I made sure you could hear a definitive break between their first and last names.
