My $1.25 thrift store find - does anyone know what these are called?

I am a sucker when it comes to to dishes, plates, bowls and other place settings.  I found a set of four of these at the thrift store last week.  They were in a box marked $2.50, but since everything with a green sticker was half off I got all four place settings for just $1.25.  I know this type of glass/partyware has a name.  Does anyone know what it is?

I think it is a pattern by Anchor Hocking. I've always loved it.

I have some of those exact glasses except tall ones!! I think my mom gave them to me years ago. I don't know what they're called, but I know they're quite inexpensive glasses. Nothing collectible. I've never seen plates to match them though. Those would be cute to eat out on my porch. Now I want some of the plates! biggrin.gif

Kim just out of curiosity......where do you store all your dishware? I also love dishes and have quite a few sets but most of them stay boxed up and I just never use them. I keep some in my china cabinet (my wedding china, a set of Christmas dishes, etc), and some in my kitchen cabinets we use for everyday, but don't have room for the rest upstairs. Do you keep yours somewhere accessible? Or you just remember to go hunt them up for meals?

I don't have a good system.  I have some of it in the kitchen, and other stuff in a cabinet in the dining room.  It's a mess, quite truthfully.  I have a lot of random mismatched sets, too... a plate of this, a bowl of that.  If we ever move to a bigger house I will have more storage for these things.

Those sure would look good with my red cabinets!!!

They are really pretty!  I love dishes, too, particulary pottery.  I have a china cabinet to house all of my polish pottery!  LOL  I also have it setting out as decoration, have it as containers to hold stuff, etc.  I don't EVER go in Goodwill without peeking at the dishes!

that is so pretty! It's Anchor Hocking Soreno in avocado green.  I use Replacements.com to identify patterns, but I never would have found it without Cookie's manuf. knowledge.  Aliadam, you can buy a set on Amazon! Anchor Hocking Crystal Soreno-Avocado Green 8 Piece Snack Set

Yes I could! Then box it up and put it in the basement with all the other sets of dishes I have boxed up down there! I would love the plates though. Hmmmm.... biggrin.gif

Thanks for helping me identify it!  (Plus, now I know I can get more on eBay).  I just love the color.
