when your children wake up at night

How do they get your attention?

mini dd has been in the habit of waking up to pee at night, she just stands next to my bed looking at me with out saying anything, and I get this feeling that "someone is watching me!" and I wake up!  LOL  scared the crap outta me the first few times!!

baby is still in a crib, so she just calls out.

And eldest dd rarely wakes up, but she too is just a caller.

I'm a really light sleeper so it doesn't take much. DD will just crawl into bed with us if she wants me. Sometimes she goes to her dad in an effort to let me sleep but that is just silly because he takes a sleeping pill and it requires cannon fire to wake him.

Light slaked here too. DD usually is dead to the world but DS is up every night, sometimes multiple times. He usually says something and that wakes me up or he just crawls into bed with us.

They both do it the exact same way.

They'll stand next to my bed and stare at me like evil murderous horror movie children. If their telepathic "wake up now" staring doesn't work, then they'll start whispering, "Mommy, are you asleep?"

DD drives me crazy with it. She will be half asleep, thirsty, and spend time waking me up to say "I'm thirsty". Aaah if you're thirsty just refill your glass lol

DS did that to hubby once, Henry woke up and shoved ds. It scared the living daylights out of both of them. I wake up less violently, so they both stand over me. DD either only wants me at night or DS filled her in on the "Don't wake Daddy" situation, because she's never done it to him haha

Mine used to do the same thing.  After a few minutes of just standing there and if I didn't wake up from just their presence (which is eerie how they can do that!), then they'd shove me awake.  If it was just for water or to use the restroom, I would try and train them to do it themselves.  But most of the time, that was just the excuse because they had a bad dream or were scared.

I just hear "Momma?... Momma.... Momma! MOMMA!!" from their room.

If Bailey wets the bed she just cries until I hear her. If the gate is up on their door DS just goes back to bed but DD will call. If the gate isn't up they just quietly come crawl in bed with me and I wake up the next morning with them there.

They come in my room and wake me.  A lot of time, I will know they are up before they get to my room, which is only a few feet away.  Unless they are sick, they are normally great sleepers.

3 yr old dd would just kiss me or tap me, now she wakes her sisters up and they come in and get me or tell me that 3 yr old dd needs something but they take care of it :) (they are all sleeping in the same room right now!)

If it's bad enough for him to get up and need me in the middle of the night, he's usually sick and crying.  This doesn't happen much but maybe a few times a year I'll hear him cry (super light sleeper, as soon as he peeps I will be up) I will say while getting up, "Oh, what's wrong??!!"
