Have you found any good deals on food?? Of did you make a frugal recipe?

 

Kroger has a lot of 10 for 10 deals in store. I noticed my pears are starting to get up there in size. I usually let all the neighbors take them but I am wondering about making something out of them this year.

 You can make pear sauce (like applesauce) & can it oryou can make pear pie, yum!

My DH's aunt that gives us lots of canned goods make pear butter (like apple butter only pears obviously biggrin.gif) that is really yummy. She also cans halved pears.

One of the ladies down the street makes the pear butter. It was a thought of mine as well. I also thought of a pear tart.

My best deal was Lawry's Marinade.  Wal-mart price matched Smiths (a Kroger store) for certain kinds for .88, plus there was a .50 coupon on them so I got them all for .33 each!  I might go back and get more!  That is a fantastic price!!

Aldi had .59 cans of beans. We got a good selection and filled a small box with enough to last us quite a bit! :)
