Do you notice handshakes?

DH is on the phone talking about someone he met and his handshake. Evidently this guy had a really "weak" handshake. Lol. Do you notice a person's handshake?

Yes.

And now that I deal with a lot of different lawyers and judges, I really seem to notice it more. And the funny thing is that most of them that have a whimpy handshake, are also whimpy lawyers.

Yes. I especially notice if they are wimpy, or hold out their hand in an odd position that does not allow you to readily shake it.

Actually I do notice them & i hate when people barely shake your hand.   Shake it like you mean it.

Yes, I do too.  I am also really surprised when an older person has such a firm handshake.  I'm always afraid I might hurt someone who is frail looking.

Dh commented that N's prom date had a really firm, solid handshake--and he liked him!  I think the handshake is what made him like him more.

I agree. I do notice a good handshake. However, I'm not sure I'd talk to someone else about it.

Yes. Firm handshake indicates a strong person, weak handshake indicates a weak willed or deceptive person. That's the general rule anyway, and it seems to be pretty accurate.

Yes.  I can't stand a dead fish handshake.

 Exactly.

Yes, and I make an intial judgement based on the handshake.  I feel a weak handshake is an indicator of a weak personality. Job applicants with a weak handshake never make it past an interview with me.
